🌿 Intercessory Prayer at St. Joseph’s Prayer Center
“Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray.
Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praise.
Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the Church, and they should pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up.
If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed.
The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.”
— James 5:13–16
From the founding of St. Joseph’s Prayer Center by Father James Wheeler and Sister Dymphna Murray, Intercessory prayer has been a vital ministry at the Center. We welcome all of your prayer intentions and place them in the basket before the Altar, where they are continually lifted in prayer. Throughout the day, when our community gathers in the chapel praying, your intentions are included in their prayers.
You may also call the Center to receive prayer over the phone. Someone is available to pray with you on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. At other times, calls are monitored and returned as staff are available. Please feel free to leave a message, and one of our prayer ministers will return your call.
